Are you passionate about hands-on learning, creativity, and helping others bring their ideas to life? We're looking for enthusiastic students of all majors to help run the space, maintain equipment, and support fellow makers.

What you'll do as a Makerspace employee
Assist Makers
Help students and faculty use Makerspace tools and machines.
Maintain Equipment
Troubleshoot 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and more.
Workspace Safety
Ensure the space stays safe, organized, and welcoming.
Inventory
Help manage material inventory and workspace cleanliness.
Events & Outreach
Support workshops, events, and outreach initiatives.
Teamwork
Work collaboratively with a team of fellow makers.
Join an executive or specialized committee
We provide leadership opportunities through executive roles and specialized committees to help grow the space.
Executive Leadership Roles
President & Vice President
Oversee operations, projects, and initiatives.
Secretary
Manage documentation, scheduling, and meeting notes.
Chief of Staff
Ensure smooth communication and coordination.
Specialized Committees
Maintenance & Safety
Keeps equipment in top condition and upholds safety standards.
Outreach & Social Media
Engages the AU community through social media, events, and promotions.
Training & Education
Develops tutorials, training sessions, and guides for students.
Data & Analytics
Tracks usage trends, engagement, and resource efficiency.
Web Development & Design
Maintains and updates the function and design of this website.
Sustainability
Keeps the Makerspace environmentally conscious for years to come.
Employment details
- Work hours: between 10 and 20 hours per week
- Must be a current AU student
- Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), including a minimum 2.0 GPA
