Yes — AU students, faculty, and staff need to accept the Makerspace waiver once via the User Registration Form before their first visit. Visiting from outside AU? Use the Temporary User Form instead — that one's required for every visit. See Waiver & Terms for the full policy.
Use of the space — There is never a cost to use the machines in the Makerspace or the space itself.
School project materials — The Makerspace covers the cost and provides materials for all school projects.
Personal project materials — Materials must be provided by you for personal projects, outside of button-making and sticker-making materials.
Yes — one of our employees will provide you with training on the Makerspace machines and equipment when you come to visit the space.
The Makerspace is not open on weekends. Our hours are Monday – Friday, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. (closed Mondays 10–11 A.M.)
Student employment positions are fluid and can change from semester to semester, so be sure to let us know if you're interested when one opens up! Email us at makerspace@andersonuniversity.edu so we know who to contact during our hiring periods.
Absolutely! We encourage it, as long as we keep it true to AU. We accept walk-ins without a reservation.
